Initially, we designed a Web3 Investment Analyst course as an internal program to strengthen 3x Capital’s Research Department by preparing Web3 talents to work in VC. We launched the 1st cohort in February 2022 with 12 talented Web3 enthusiasts. After four successful cohorts of the program, and 62 participants, we are thrilled to announce the call for the 5th cohort of the program with the first lecture on April 17.
3x Capital — is a digital asset investment and advisory firm focusing on early-stage web3 startups. Since 2017 we invested in tokens of 45 crypto startups and did 25 exits with 9x average returns.
Web3 Investment Analyst is a 10-week-long practical educational program from 3x Capital delivered in metaverse that gives fundamental knowledge on blockchain analytics applying to trending investment cases. After the program, participants can become Investment analysts in Web3 investment institutions, create a Web3 startup in partnership with 3x Capital, or start investing and assessing in a more structured manner.

Additionally, participants can join the 3x Capital Investment Club and invest in the selected deals. The asses to the program are by tokens: the Web3x NFT Basic Pass and the Web3x NFT Premium Pass.

Introduction

Mentors play a critical role in providing guidance, support, and personalized attention to each student to help them grow both professionally and personally. If there is a specific mentor with whom a student wishes to work, they can indicate this in the participant form. What exactly does the program look like?

The 3x Capital Study Approach is an innovative educational method that combines mentoring, open knowledge sharing, hands-on experience, self-learning, and proactivity. The approach aims to provide participants with a comprehensive and well-rounded education, empowering them to be self-directed learners who can tackle real-world challenges.
This program is specifically designed to cover the essential aspects of evaluating a startup through engaging lectures and practical application. Participants have the opportunity to work with real investment cases, enabling them to develop an in-depth understanding of the startup evaluation process.
During the third week of the program, participants are assigned a startup from the 3x Capital pipeline to work on, creating a detailed startup analysis in the form of a Deal Sheet. Depending on the communication stage of the startup, some participants may also attend meetings with the startup alongside a 3x Capital Investment Analyst.
At the conclusion of the program, participants present their investment proposition for the assigned startup along with the results of their analytical report. This program provides an excellent opportunity for participants to gain practical experience in evaluating startups and developing investment proposals, which can be invaluable for anyone interested in venture capital or entrepreneurship.

Program Curriculum

In addition to our core curriculum, we are thrilled to host a range of guest lectures from industry experts and thought leaders, including venture capitalists, accelerators, startup founders, Web3 service providers, and recruitment experts. These sessions offer an invaluable opportunity for participants to gain insights into the latest trends and developments in the startup world and learn from some of the most successful and innovative players in the field.
In our upcoming 5th cohort, we are proud to launch a specific track dedicated to Web3 startups. This track is designed to provide founders with a comprehensive understanding of the key aspects of startup development in the Web3 ecosystem. To achieve this, we have added additional topics to the curriculum, such as Legal Aspects of Web3 Startups and Marketing Strategy. These lectures are mandatory for startup-track participants and optional for all program participants.
Upon completion of the program, Web3 startups will be eligible to receive advisory support from 3x Capital. We believe that by offering these additional resources, we can provide our program participants with a well-rounded education and a comprehensive understanding of the Web3 ecosystem. This will not only benefit their individual career prospects but also contribute to the growth and development of the industry as a whole.
